I recently had a family vacation at Motuoapa Bay Chalets, and it provided a great base for our adventures. The highlight for us was the children's playground; my son had a fantastic time discovering all the features, giving my sister and me some well-deserved downtime. The air conditioning kept us comfortable during the hot summer days, and the cleanliness of the chalet made it feel like a home away from home. Being close to Turangi allowed us to explore lovely local walks, and we enjoyed our daily coffee runs to Licorice Cafe just across the road. The self-contained setup made cooking easy and efficient. While there was some traffic noise due to its location on SH1, this was a minor trade-off for such a well-equipped retreat. I'd recommend it for families seeking a convenient escape in a comfortable setting.
